Ruth Wallen If Frogs Sicken And Die, What Will Happen To The Princes? Buffalo, New York IF FROGS SICKEN AND DIE, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE PRINCES? Recently ecologists have suggested that frogs are disappearing at an alarming rate in many parts of the world and may be an indicator of environmental malaise. The frog has played an important role in fantasy, fairy tales, and the history of science. This extensive installation and web site of digitally composed prints explores the frog as an indicator of the changing human interaction with the environment. These 18 posters, commissioned by CEPA gallery, were placed for six weeks on a city bus that took a different route each day. A selection of these 9"x26" ink jet prints appears at left.
