Chris Drury Cloud Chamber Eden Project, Bodelva, Cornwall, UK Part of a series of projects by Chris Drury exploring the timeless effect of moving clouds seen from above. A carefully stacked
stone chamber was set into the hillside of the Eden Center. A simple lens in the roof projects the sky above onto the floor of the
space inverting the viewer's perspective.
"Took 5 of us 4 weeks to build, using 120 tonnes of rock. The
Cornish Dry stone hedgers were used to building miles of stone hedges which
have soil in and grow, so this was a something new for them and a real
challenge. They did a beautiful job.
At present there is a temporary lens in place. A lens of the right focal
length has been ordered and should be in in a months time. It will open
officially in July." Visit the Eden Project, Bodelva, Cornwall, PL24 2SG, UK
