Winter Solstice

The Winter Solstice ritual done in 1985 which appears on the cover of "The Reenchantment of Art" by Suzi Gablik, was about the anticipation of spring. An acknowledgement of winter's importance as an interval of time during which a sequence of recurring patterns of events is completed. The decision to use the color green was that it represents plant life.

The 1986 Winter Solstice ritual was about clearing crystals. Our decision to use crystals was because crystals allow the light to pass through. Light is an environmental necessity. We choose the earth tone colors for this ritual because it represented the end of fall.
