Lada Sega Mapa Mundi There is a “need” to create a healthier, fairer and better quality
of life for ourselves and the environment in which we live.
This means that we have to learn how to live within the environmental
limits of our planet and ensure that everyone on Earth has a right to
their fair share of the planet’s resources.
We are faced with the pollution of the earth’s land, water and atmosphere,
a decline in biodiversity and nonrenewable resources, and an
increase in deforestation and desertification. The health of the
earth’s ecosystem and its ability to support life has been seriously
impaired. There is an urgent need to promote the creation and
improvement of policies, laws and institutions that respond to these
problems.
