BiographyBorn Paris, France 1965 Lilian Cooper's work focuses on a fascination with natural landscape and the identification with particular places. She has spent years travelling and exploring rock landscapes in particular in Scotland and also France, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and more recently in Canada and the USA. "...Working in these environments makes me aware of the power of our natural landscapes and fosters a feeling of belonging to a bigger entity that will long outlast me". At present she is also co-organising a touring landscape exhibition with a Canadian artist and curator, based on her ongoing 20-year project to explore the rock edges of the North Atlantic Coast. This will tour Europe and Canada. The exhibition is currently planned for 2006.
