Artist StatementMost of my creative works address the tensions between technology, environment and society, and attempt to demonstrate some of the dynamically complex ecological relationships inherent in our evolving Information Revolutions. In attempts to experience and frame my own understandings of 'ecology', as holistically applied to the physical dynamics of matter, energy and information, my creative works have focused on aspects of technological development, ecological economics, warfare and control, the range of human senses and the mind, the electromagnetic environment, community planning, interspecies communications, and right livelihood. Social collaborations are the primary basis for my creative works, which have been realized through various media and techniques including: writings, photography, video, audio, performances, installations, sculpture, holography, architecture, environmental and community design, and Internetworked systems. |
