Biography


Albert Flynn DeSilver's visual work has been shown at The Armand Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, Westmont College in Santa Barbara, and New Langton Arts in San Francisco. He received an MFA in New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1995. He is also a poet publishing recent work in NEW AMERICAN WRITING, ZYZZYVA, THE COLUMBIA POETRY REVIEW, HANGING LOOSE, CONDUIT, VOLT, SLOPE, FISHDRUM, THE WALLACE STEVENS JOURNAL, WEB DEL SOL, EXQUISITE CORPSE, VAN GOGHıS EAR (France), POETRY KANTO (Japan), and elsewhere.

He teaches throughout Marin and San Francisco with The California Poets in the Schools Program. He has also taught workshops at UC Davis, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, The College of Marin, and Idyllwild Arts. He is editor/publisher of The Owl Press, publishing innovative poetry and poetic collaboration. He lives in Forest Knolls, California.
