The consciousness of maize DNA… the psycho-cultural context of venom and snake handling… and the subtle interactions of humans and "water consciousness" are but a few of her themes. The idea that all life is interconnected is central to modern ecological thinking. Kathleen Rogers is an environmental artist who takes this belief to a broader conceptual level by combining cultural anthropology, genetics, and parapsychology in her art.

Research for these projects brings her in contact with experts from Mexico, Lithuania, Europe and the United States. Beliefs that might be common in pre-industrial societies are explored through modern scientific techniques and interpreted by the artist through video installations, live performance and documentation of her experiences. Kathleen Rogers pulls together the expertise of others to explore the forces and fascinations which connect us all.
