Over a period of two and one-half years, Zakai worked with volunteers to transform a static stream into one that flows. By carving a few flag forms into the concrete, rainwater was able to infiltrate the river and eventually melt the concrete. During the restoration process, various performances occurred at the site. A concrete table embedded with collected debris and a three-mile avenue of concrete flags flank the stream, designating it Israelís first eco-tourist site. |
