Medicinal Garden
,
Art in the Anchorage, Brooklyn, NY, 1995
A public garden project that emphasizes the healing potential of herbal medicine and the history of women practicing
healing arts. This piece is designed in the shape of the human body and the layout was guided by the seven Hindu
chakras, energy centers of the body. Herbs were planted in direct correspondence to the parts of the body that they
would consider helpful for healing.
